Chemada is a leading Israeli based manufacturer of fine and specialty chemicals, located near Kibbutz Nir Itzhak in the south of Israel. Chemada is an ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004 and Israeli equivalent to OHSAS 18001 accredited company, and has joined the Responsible Care program in Israel. Chemada grown significantly over the last 35 years to become a leading international producer of high quality bromine compounds and fine chemicals for the pharmaceutical, agricultural and other related industries. Over 95% of it's annual turnover is generated from export sales. Chemada has expanded its R&D and production capabilities, as well as its product portfolio, investing in increasingly advanced installations. This enables Chemada to keep up with the growing demand of the market and to undertake toll and custom manufacturing projects for its customers. |

The multi purpose plant is equipped with glass lined reactors of 250 - 4000 liter, stainless steel and titanium filter dryers and a flaker. The advanced distillation equipment includes 25 theoretical plates columns and distillation columns for materials having a melting point of up to 80°C. The operating temperature ranges from -20°C to 200°C and pressure ranges from 5 mm Hg to 6 bars. The processes are controlled by an integrated system which includes a Modicon PLC and a Foxboro I/A DCS. Foxboro's modern batch control software enables a safe, efficient, versatile and reliable operation reflected in high quality processes and products. Its versatility permits fast process modifications and quick changes from one product to another. |

Safety, Health and Environmental management are an integral part of Chemada's policy. The waste management and emission control program is implemented in compliance with the regulations and in cooperation with the Israeli Ministry of the Environment. Chemada is also a voluntary signatory of the TA Luft Protocol. The commitment to safety, health and environment is not limited to the plant and its surroundings, but encompasses all aspects of Chemada's business including packing and distribution of its products world wide. |

Equipped with state-of-the-art analytical instrumentation such as GLC, HPLC, FTIR, UV-VIS and KF, the laboratory fulfills all the analytical requirements for quality control and R&D. Laboratory staff deals, in addition to the analytical work also with Research and Development, production support and troubleshooting, and marketing support. |

Chemada has developed its business through its core Bromination technologies, supported by complementary chemical reactions. Chemada's expertise is based on the production of high quality Acyl, Benzyl, Alkyl and Aryl bromides and their derivatives, bromocarboxylic acids and their derivatives, bromothiophenes and several brominating agents. Room temperature ionic liquids have been recently manufactured at commercial scale. Throughout the years, toll and custom manufacturing has been undertaken. This has enabled Chemada to incorporate new technologies and products and also to strengthen its relationship with its customers.
